I am one of those suckers that bought those crappy toshiba laptops
a70, a75 m30x or m35x....(mine is the a70)

Within a year of purchase the stupid shitty laptop couldnt charge up and would over head and shut down automatically. I called toshiba and sent in for repair they returned it to me and it started the same shit over in less than 6 months, i called toshiba and spoke to this stupid bitch who told me that this time round i would have to drive 90 miles to some toshiba center to have it repaired. I cursed out the bitch and hang up on her and vowed to get a new lappie from toshiba via credit card then cancel the payment and dare them to sue me for it! (of course i never carried this thread through)

But yesterday i got a letter in the mail titled Elihu et al v toshiba... Class action lawsuit was filed and i am getting a whopping 25 bucks!!!:bigfinger ..

Well the best thing about it is that we get a new free warranty regardless, and trust me, i am gonna wear that bitch out. Toshiba has to pay for the repairs and shipping fees for the laptop.

I vowed revenge and i will get my fill..(I dont use the stupid shit any more i bought packard lappie and i am happy with it.)

remember folks, toshiba fucking sucks. They sold these laptops to us full well knowing they were seriously defective!!

actually i just re-read the paperwork sent to me. They are settlement papers from toshiba trying to get me to settle with them instead of staying in the class.... gotta read more and figure out if i should stay or
take the 25 bucks...(i will call them to make sure that the warranty they are offering does not require me to drive 90 miles to some depot!!)

my laptop overheats quickly too.

POS.

are you taking the settlement or will you choose to stay in the class and hope for a bigger payout from the law suit?

havent read the paperwork that closely. we were thinking of extending the warranty by a year which is one of the options.

usually the only people that make money off class action suits are the lawyers that filed the suit originally. as the small cash or refund amounts will attest to.

the refunds in the paperwork are the offer from toshiba to get us to settle this thing out of court.

I would double check on that warranty situation because those pricks will offer you a gimmick warranty that still requires to pay for this or that.

I am really miffed at toshiba as a company and i have already made up my mind never to buy anything from toshiba for the rest of my life.

I will call to get details on the warranty and see if its worth it.

Ps. The lawsuit should hit toshiba big, since i know the facts of the case personally, i know the ammo we the litigants have against toshiba. (And if i am not mistaken toshiba is a repeat offender and has had similar judgements against them before)
